Although a general understanding of the AGN population is being addressed by optical large area surveys, a complete picture of cluster AGN has been hampered by both AGN and cluster selection biases. Recently, it has been shown that optically selected AGN have been under-represented in cluster environments due to color selection criteria not sensitive to red and dust enshrouded sources. X-ray selection of AGN can overcome this bias. Hierarchical simulations suggest the gravitational processes which govern the formation and the evolution of clusters also have a role in AGN triggering, and that AGN feedback is critically important to galaxy evolution. Confirmation of these simulations requires observational comparisons not just of the cluster galaxy population, which they seem to reproduce well, but also of the distributions of AGN in young and forming clusters. It is these clusters, which may not be fully identified in large surveys due to selection criteria based on cluster dynamical state. Cluster selection through weak lensing is not dependent on cluster dynamical state. We propose to obtain GMOS-S spectra for a sample of 23 X-ray selected optically faint (20 with R>20.3) AGN cluster candidates. Our target cluster is an X-ray cluster discovered by its weak lensing shear signal. Ultimately, we wish to compare the AGN content of this object with the AGN content of other DLS shear-selected systems and published work in order to understand AGN evolution in cluster environments, particularly young and merging systems. We require redshift data that will enable us to identify AGN cluster members. By combining deep weak lensing maps, X-ray observations, and galaxy kinematical data, we will fully parameterize the environment of these AGN.
