Lattes et al., (1971) have studied the formation processes of high-energy neutral mesons and have shown that clusters rapidly moving in an L-system contain such mesons. In the present paper, the interaction characteristics studied by Lattes et al., for energies of tens of TeV are compared with data obtained for energies of 40 GeV, using a propane bubble chamber. It is found that the phenomena observed by Lattes et al., are essentially of a diffraction nature and that they do not differ from phenomena observed at 40 GeV.
