The polarization performance of a symmetric reflector antenna
illuminated by an ideal feed is limited by depolarization introduced by
the reflector, even if other sources of cross-polarization are
negligible. It is shown that depolarization can theoretically be
eliminated by the use of anisotropic reflectors.
