Observations of the 6-cm absorption lines of H2(C-12)O and H2(C-13)O have yielded values for the abundance ratio of C-12 to C-13 of 62 in W3, 55 in NGC 2024, and lower limits for this ratio that are close to terrestrial in Cas A and M17. This provides additional evidence for substantial variation of the C-12/C-13 abundance ratio in interstellar matter. The H141-beta recombination line of hydrogen has also been observed in these sources, and several previously unknown sources of formaldehyde absorption have been found.
