The idea of sending JMO, Jovian Magnetospheric Orbiter, to accomplish one of the Jupiter System Science themes of our future mission to Jupiter has been proposed. The key point is to perform state-of the-art measurements in the huge particle accelerator whose activity is driven by the fast rotating planet. The high quality data, which are equally good as those obtained in the earth's magnetosphere, from the exotic world are indispensable for us to proceed towards our fundamental understanding of the Plasma Universe. A web-based open forum has been set-up and ideas on the shape of JMO (instruments, orbit, and so on) from the world-side community have been collected. Here we introduce the basic thoughts of what the orbiter should be.
