How constraints from particle physics are evolving to limit both exotic nonbaryonic and baryonic dark matter in the universe is briefly examined. New constraints on WIMPs from LEP are considered, and how new findings impact on the possibility that the Galactic halo dark matter is baryonic is addressed. The recent resurgence of interest in tau neutrinos as hot dark matter is commented on.
