The present state of understanding of what occurred in the universe's
first three minutes is reviewed. Emphasis is on the events that lead to
potentially observable consequences and that are model-independent or at
least generic to broad classes of models. Inflation, phase transitions,
dark matter, and nucleosynthesis are summarized.
