We have made a search for muon signals from Cyg X-3 using data collected by the first MACRO supermodule during the period February 1989 to May 1990 (live-time about 4726 hours). Finding no evidence for a steady muon flux, we compute an upper limit of 8.3 x 10 exp - 12/sq cm s. The Rayleigh and Protheroe tests imply there is no muon signal modulated by the 4.8 hour X-ray period. The upper limit to the modulated muon flux is 4.6 x 10 exp -12/sq cm s.
