The Primeval Structure Telescope PaST is currently under construction in the Ulastai valley in Western China. The telescope will consist of 10,000 log periodic antennas configured in 80 phased arrays elements and will operate at frequencies from 50 to 200 MHz. The telescope is designed to allow detection of the transition between the neutral state of the universe and the ionized state, by detecting patchy structure in highly redshifted 21 cm emission. The goals and status of the program will be presented. In China, PaST is called the 21 cm array.
