Scientific paper

New observations of the RRc-type star RZ Cep are reported. The period is
clearly variable and a new interpretation of its behavior is given. The
main feature of the light curve is a pre-maximum hump, as bright as the
broad maximum perhaps connected with variations in the color index.
Further observations using high speed photometry are recommended.
