Cosmology: Large-Scale Structure, Statistics

Scientific paper

We have analyzed large (Gpc-)realizations of a pancake model, to which assumptions for the formation of luminous matter are added. We present results on the two-point correlation function calculated for subsamples on typical scales of present all-sky surveys (Buchert & Martinez 1993). We summarize the i mplications of doing large model realizations, in particular concerning the variations of the characteristics of the correlation function on the scale of the subsamples, and the `fair sample' hypothesis.
