The three-body problem is considered in the case where the center of mass of the second and third bodies rotates through a conic section with respect to the first body. The area and energy integrals are obtained. It is shown that the rate at which the moon moves relative to the earth can be determined much more accurately with the energy integral of this problem than with the Jacobi integral.
