The occurrence of magnetic reconnections in the nonlinear stage of kink-modes is here demonstrated by their simulation in line-ties coronal loops. In loops without net axial current, reconnection is limited to the initial current-carrying channel; where there is a net current, reconnection involves field lines at greater and greater distances from the axis, leading to a complete disruption of the magnetic field topology.
