Optical and radio measurements of interstellar column densities toward Omicron Per and Zeta Oph are compared, including Copernicus UV measurements. Toward Omicron Per, radio measurements of OH, CH, and H I column densities made with 20-arcmin beams are found to be in agreement with optical data, but radio measurements of the CO column density made with a 1-arcmin beam are found to be at least an order of magnitude greater than the optical measurements. Examination of a map of the radio CO line in the vicinity of this star shows that the star seems to be located in the direction of a hole in the CO distribution. The possibility is considered that the star itself may be the cause of the hole. Radio and optical CO results toward Zeta Oph are found to be in agreement.
