We presents results for Optical spectroscopy of BL Lac candidates performed with the ESO VLT equipped with FORS2. Observations were performed between April and June 2008. We were able to determine new redshift from emission/absorption lines for 5 objects: OJ -131: z=0.138, BL Lac, from the detection of MgII, [OII], Hbeta and [OIII] in emission; 1ES 1106+244: z=0.482, BL Lac, from the detection of CaII H&K and G band in absorption.
