Fourier analysis performed on the data of three balloon observations (20-200 keV) of Cygnus X-1 has shown a significant peak of the power spectral density at about 17 s. Possible periodic pulsations, sustained over periods of at least one hour, could be responsible for the peak we detected. Results of computer simulations in terms of a superposition of randomly occurring pulses give some support to this interpretation
