A comparative study of the results obtained with the Chinese Photoelectric Astrolabe Type II and the Danjon Astrolabe according to the same program for one year is described. Analysis of the observations of the two instruments reveals that the accuracy of the Chinese astrolabe is greater than that of the Danjon instrument in all respects. Experimental data were used in the analysis of the influence of short-period temperature fluctuations on the results of time determination and in the calculation of the effect of lunar tide terms on time and latitude observations.
