A small number of helium-deficient B stars have been measured over several nights to detect variability in the strength of the He I 4026-A line. Definite variability was found in the case of HR 7185. The observations indicate that the phenomenon is aperiodic, with a He-constant phase in between the extremes. The line strength may decrease from maximum to the constant value within 3 h.
