Image-tube spectra (61 Å mm-1) of the 15th magnitude UV-bright star M15-K1082 yield a radial velocity of -104 km sec-1. This result strongly supports the conclusion of Brown (1951) and Cudworth (1976), based on proper-motion measurements, that K1082 is a cluster member. According to the photographic photometry of Chu (1977), K1082 is a unique, ultra-short-period cluster variable. Smith, Millis, and Liller (1979) report weak evidence for variability on plates in the Yale collection, while failing to find it on 1978 plates taken for the purpose of studying K1082.
