The ADM variational principle is used to develop an approach to the investigation of the stability of Hamiltonian systems in superspace (i.e., on a manifold with a pseudo-Riemannian metric). For the inflationary solutions describing the dynamics of the universe with a massive scalar field, stability laws of disturbance attenuation are obtained for each type of scalar potential.
