Using the new version of the Hewlett-Burbidge Catalogue and the all-sky catalogue of Abell clusters (ACO 1989) we analysed the cross-correlation function between them. We found anti-correlation at angular separations θ > 3°, and that is mainly caused by the optically-selected rather than the radio-selected QSOs. This fact can probably be explained by extinction by intracluster dust. However, there is no anti-correlation at θ < 3°. This suggests that there is also a tendency of physical association between them. Further analysis shows the correlation to be independent of the redshift of the QSOs, and this independence is unfavorable to the gravitational lensing interpretation.
