Observations made in 1983 - 85 confirm the earlier detection of a slight inequality in the splitting of the frequency triplet near 192 s of the pulsating DA white dwarf L 19-2. If interpreted as second-order splitting of rotationally-perturbed non-radial g-mode pulsations, the measured value, 2.0×10-6mHz, is in rough agreement with outdated theoretical calculations which should be repeated with more realistic white dwarf models. The new observations are also used to set an upper limit of 3.0×10-14s s-1 on the rate of period change of the 192 s oscillation corresponding to an evolutionary cooling time-scale longer than 2.0×108yr.
