An analysis of the energy spectra of stellar and solar flares reveals that the maximum energy of the optical radiation of stellar flares is close to 10 to the 29th J; that of solar flares amounts to several units of 10 to the 25th J. Allowance is made for electromagnetic emission in other wavelength ranges, losses due to particle acceleration, and hydrodynamic losses, and it is concluded that the total energy released in such flares must exceed these estimates by an order of magnitude. The necessity of a synergetic approach to the analysis of structural and kinematic properties of convective zones in stars with a magnetic field is demonstrated.
