The present study considers the pulsed component of the geomagnetic
effect of solar flares, which is observed close to local noon
simultaneously with 2.22 MeV gamma-line bursts. It is noted that this
connection leads to a method of searching for solar neutrons using
ground-based monitors for which the burst time is close to local noon.
