The absorption spectra of water vapor in the 2.7 micron-band have been obtained in an isothermal, vacuum-tight cell with a resolution of 0.8/cm. They are compared with a line-by-line calculation using AFGL data and the approximate temperature-dependence of the line-widths. Agreement is very satisfactory in some spectral regions and rather poor in others.
