The RICE experiment (Radio Ice C̆erenkov Experiment) at the South Pole, currently one of the projects included in the overall AMANDA effort, seeks to measure ultra-high energy electron neutrinos (Eν>1015) by detection of the long-wavelength C̆erenkov Radiation (CR) signal resulting from neutrino-induced showers: νe+N-->e+N'. We present upper limits on the UHE νe flux based on analysis of August, 2000 data. .
