UBVRI photoelectric observations are reported for stars in eight H II regions selected from the Sharpless catalog. All were observed with the 1.5 m reflector on Calar Alto (Spain). Distances and color excesses are given shifting in the (U - B) vs (B - V) two-color diagrams and using the MK or the photometric spectral types. The distances and exciting stars are discussed. The BVRI photometry confirms that the extinction law is normal towards the stars in the H II regions.
