Scientific paper

The paper presents results of a spectrophometric investigation of two components of the NGC nucleus 2 arcsec apart which are considered to be the nuclei of two galaxies that had collided. The physical properties and chemical abundances are determined; and it is found that Seyfert properties attributed previously to the nucleus should in fact be attributed to only one component, while the second component appears to be a complex of H II regions. Rotation of the Seyfert component of the nucleus is observed in which the H II complex does not take part.
