The author has formulated a theory of sequential fragmentation based on his theory of solar system formation. The theory is validated using the data from an explosive aerosolization experiment. Comparison of the fragmentation theory with the initial mass function of stars shows excellent agreement. This agreement does not validate the author's solar system formation theory, but it does add support to it and perhaps more importantly, does not falsify it.
