The J 1→0 line of HCN at 88.6 GHz was detected in comet Halley
during the Nov. 19 - Dec. 3, 1985 period. The observed line width
corresponds to a coma expansion velocity of 0.85 km s-1. The
average HCN production rate was 5x1025s-1.
