Correlations between the flux and the continuum spectral shapes for the different emission components observed in quasars and Seyfert galaxies are reviewed. The relationships between the observed properties in different spectral domains allow to establish some of the physical relationships between the emission processes. The existing gamma-ray data do not permit to extend the analysis to the energetically very important high energy emission.
