Plasma Heating By Particle Beams, Tokamaks, Spherical Tokamaks, Theory, Design, And Computerized Simulation
Scientific paper
RF waves in the electron cyclotron range of frequencies for heating fusion plasmas and for driving plasma currents have been studied. FX-B mode conversion has been modeled with a full-wave differential equation. The FX-B and te O-SX-B mode conversion processes are optimized in different regimes of frequency and parallel wavelength parameter space. (AIP)
