Rare particles of VLT-LT basalts found in Luna-16 and Luna-20 regolith are described. These fragments are composed of ophitic medium-granular basalts consisting mainly of iron-rich olivines (Fo 13-36), subferroaugitic and pigeonite pyroxenes, and plagioclase (An 89-96). Compositions of rock-forming minerals in these particles are similar to those of minerals of Luna-24 VLT basalts, but have higher iron contents compared to Apollo-17 VLT basalts.
