Very Large Array (VLA) observations of the black hole candidate binary XTE J1817-330 (ATel #714) show that the suggested radio counterpart (ATel #717) has faded significantly (3.9sigma) at 4.86 GHz, from 0.83 +/- 0.12 mJy on Jan. 31 to 0.32 +/- 0.06 mJy on Feb. 2, and 0.35 +/- 0.05 mJy on Feb. 3. This variability strongly suggests that this is indeed the counterpart to the X-ray transient.
