The VERITAS (Very Energetic Radiation Imaging Telescope Array System) experiment consisting of four Imaging Atmospheric Cherenkov Telescopes (12m diameter each) is one of the most sensitive instruments for the measurement of very high energy gamma-rays in the energy range between 100GeV and > 10 TeV. VERITAS has observed a variety of AGN, discovered VHE emission from several of them (1ES 0806+524, W Com, 3C 66A), and measured their spectral and temporal behavior as well. Several blazar observations were accompanied by MWL observations with other instruments. The results of these observations and implications are presented.
