Using unbiased fitting of spatial and spectral data including JCMT maps, single pointing fluxes, and H-K colors, we study the well-known star-forming region B335. A variety of scenarios, which were based upon piecewise density distributions and grain properties, were considered. These inputs and others were used in an automated fitting procedure entailing over one hundred thousand detailed radiative transfer models, which allowed us to constrain the properties of the star-forming region. In particular, we constrain the density distribution, which gives evidence for a central structure, surrounded by a centrally condensed region with a density varying approximately as r 1.5 and then a less dense envelope having a density distribution approximately falling off as r-0.5. Even more importantly, we find evidence for grain evolution in the source, in a manner consistent with a central disk-like region, and an outer tenuous envelope.
