According to results of neutral wind measurements the electron concentration profiles in the night mid-latitude E-region in some experiments were calculated taking into account two sorts of ions - the molecular and the long-lived ions. The profiles obtained were compared with the experimental ones. It was concluded that the influence of horizontal winds on the night ionospheric E-region manifests itself in the appearance of irregular structure in the electron concentration profiles.
