The sensitivities of various versions of the atmospheric Cerenkov technique are evaluated in terms of the effective energy and flux sensitivity for discrete gamma ray sources with power-law spectra. The single-beam, double-beam, and guard-ring configurations are compared. These estimates are based on calculations of the Cerenkov light distribution from an air shower initiated by a 1000 GeV gamma-ray and experimental measurements with the 10 m reflector on Mt. Hopkins, Arizona.
