Results of the interferometric observations of Cygnus A at 2695 MHz with baselines of up to 3x105 wavelengths are presented. The two small radio cores have been resolved. The data for the westerly core can be explained by a double model with components extended by ~1 arc sec and separated by 4.6 arc sec in a position angle of 130 arc deg. The easterly core also consists of at least two components with sizes ~0.5-0.6 arc sec. Some astrophysical implications of this result are discussed.
