Characteristics of a cube upon which are imprinted all the known stars within 15-20 light years of the sun are described, and consideration is given to the possibility that other habitable planets exist within this region. The star cube is oriented with the horizontal median on the galactic plane and the north pole in the direction of the galactic North Pole. The stars imprinted on the surface according to spectral type, with distances scaled as 2.5 cm per light year. A total of 84 stars are represented, comprising 31 solitary, 16 binary, and 7 triple systems. Among them, only alpha Centauri, Sirius, Procyon, tau Ceti, and Altair are as luminous or more so than the sun. Only Barnard's star is known to have a planetary companion at present, and among the population on the cube, the candidate stars for possessing planetary systems are epsilon Eridani, epsilon Indi, zet Ceti, and Groombridge 1618.
