In solar research the polarisation of the radiation gives knowledge from magnetic structures. With a correlation polarimeter the complete polarisation properties of the radiation can be measured simultaneously. The most demanding tasks in designing such a polarimeter for 37 GHz were the circular waveguide components for the feed system and the correlators, in which the polarisation detection is done. A considerable amount of attention was paid also to the phase stability of the two main channels.
