In recent years, it has been found that the galaxy correlation functions represent a useful tool in the investigation of the large-scale nature of the universe. The Born-Bogoliubov-Green-Kirkwood-Yvon (BBGKY) hierarchy is considered, taking into account the cosmological background, the K-particle distribution functions in phase space, the reduced correlation functions, and the moments. An investigation is conducted regarding the implications of the BBGKY hierarchy for the four-point function. By integrating the fourth BBGKY equation and using moment definitions, an equation for the conservation of quadruplets is obtained. Relations regarding the amplitude coefficients in the BBGKY hierarchy are derived, and the results are compared with other previously derived relations and with data from the Lick and Zwicky galaxy catalogs.
