JHK infrared photometry is presented for 76 main-sequence proper motion members brighter than V = 12 in the Hyades. Known binaries are confirmed and new candidates proposed using color-magnitude and color-color diagrams. The cluster binary frequency (about 40%) is discussed, as well as its possible effects on the cluster distance modulus and stellar chromospheric/coronal activity.
