The failure of the microstructure to consistently drift with subpulses in PSR 2016+28 is given a simple geometrical explanation. Within the angular beaming model, it is argued that if the subpulse drift results from the rotation of the radiation beam associated with the subpulse around the magnetic axis, then micropulses should not consistently drift with drifting subpulses. Microstructure in drifting subpulses is discussed for the cases when the ratio of the radius of the subbeam trajectory to the radius of the observer's orbit is much less than one and about equal to one. General properties of the microstructure, including micropulse width, bandwidth, and types are addressed.
