A new approach to analyze empirical data of supernovae, based on the method of cluster analysis, is suggested. One of its variants - the method of the "nearest neighbour" - is briefly described. The efficiency of this method, applied to the problem of classification of 44 B light curves and 22 V light curves of supernovae, is demonstrated and briefly discussed.
