The starting flow is calculated around an object representing a central
engine of an active galaxy that imparts momentum unidirectionally to its
surroundings. Viscosity is used to mimic turbulence. A steady jet
results for which the rate of entrainment of gas can be numerically
computed. Comparison is made with analytical calculations.
