Cosmology, galactic astronomy and elementary particle physics are now closely interwoven. Despite the many existing uncertainties, each of these subjects appears to provide basic information for the others, and cannot be understood without taking the others into account. This recent development is illustrated by brief discussions of the inflationary universe, the primordial synthesis of baryons and the light elements, and the possible roles of massive neutrinos, photinos and gravitinos in providing the "missing" matter in the universe as a whole, in galaxy clusters and in individual galaxies.
