A UBV photometric study of the open cluster NGC 7790 containing three Cepheids is presented using new photographic data obtained at the Canada-France-Hawaii Telescope and calibrated to approximately V = 19 mag. Using fitting procedures which account for binaries, field contamination, and individual reddenings, a true distance modulus of 12.3 + or - 0.2 mag is derived for a mean E(B-V) = 0.64 + or - 0.05 mag. While the presently derived distance modulus (for a Hyades distance scale of 3.17) is in very good agreement with the 1984 results of Schmidt and of Balona and Shobrook for NGC 7790 using four-color and H-beta photometry, it is significantly different from Sandage's original (1958) results.
