Low-dispersion spectra for ten H II regions in the Sab galaxy M81 have been obtained. Oxygen abundances for those H II regions were estimated from the observed flux ratio of ([O II]+[O III])/Hβ. All the H II regions have fairly similar spectra, with a mean abundance near solar and a weak abundance gradient d[log(O/H)]/dr = -0.045 dex kpc-1. The derived abundances and abundance gradients are nearly identical to those observed in the Milky Way, considered by most to be of Hubble type Sb or later.
