Radio-wave absorption data for different frequencies have been utilized in conjunction with simultaneous electron density distribution for Freiburg in deriving the height distribution of electron collision frequencies for different days. Further attempts have been made to study the compatibility of the derived profiles with the values inferred from thermospheric composition and thermal structures. The possibility of using these ground-based measurements to monitor the thermospheric structure is suggested.
